Most of the Spanish homes already have a 4K TV, and this rising phenomenon will be one of the topics to be analyzed in the sixth edition of the 4K-HDR Summit, to be held on November 17th, 18th and 19th, organized by Medina Media Events.

Based on data from GFK consulting firm, one of the most relevant worldwide in the field of new technologies, the Country Product Manager in Spain of Vestel multinational and brands such as Toshiba, JVC and Hitachi, Javier Morago, will explain the behavior of the market in 2020.

“Despite the fact that the physical stores have been closed for much of the year, the sale of Ultra High Definition (UHD) televisions has experienced a growth of 26% compared to 2019. And the year is not over,” emphasizes Morago as a preview of his participation in the 4K-HDR Summit.

In the sixth edition of the world’s leading event on Ultra High Definition will bring together, in virtual format, 30 top-level speakers to present the advances that this new technology has had in the last 12 months.

One of the effects on which Vestel, one of the top 10 manufacturers of televisions worldwide and which reaches 18% of sales in Europe, will reflect is that of the coronavirus Covid-19.

“On the one hand, on the positive side for the technology and audiovisual content industry, people have returned to their homes and have turned their homes into their entertainment centers,” says Morago.

“But, on the other hand, there are also negative aspects that we will explain in the 4K-HDR Summit,” advances Morago, who will also explain the evolution that the market has had from 2015 until now and what the forecasts are for the next few years.

Morago will participate in the 4K-Summit 2020 within the block dedicated to the Spanish Ultra High Definition Association (UHD Spain), which will also include Antonio Fernández-Paniagua (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation), Pere Vila (RTVE), Xavier Redón (Cellnex), Carlos Castán (Canon), Jorge Rodríguez (Hispasat), Emili Planas (Mediapro) and the professor from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, José Manuel Menéndez.

Those registered for the 4K HDR Summit Virtual 2020 will be able to follow the sessions by streaming, as well as consult online demos, attend exclusive webinars and network through video meetings with speakers and participants.
