An international forum of reference
With a significant media impact valued at more than one million euros, the last edition of the 4K HDR Summit consolidated its reach through the media with nearly 150 million impacts. A figure that endorses the growth and consolidation of this worldwide benchmark summit where technology and content have time to talk.
In 2024, a total of 500 professional attendees (in-person and virtual) and 240 registered companies enabled record figures to be set to coincide with the celebration of the 10th anniversary. In addition, the participation of the world’s leading UHD associations meant that 430 companies from the audiovisual ecosystem from around the world were represented at the 4K HDR Summit.

Unique event with Spain as a pioneer country
The 4K HDR Summit is a unique event that brings together experts, companies and leaders from the entire audiovisual sector chain in Spain. Spain has been a pioneer in the implementation and broadcasting of Ultra High Definition (UHD) content on Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) and is at the forefront of the sector. Since February 2024, RTVE has been broadcasting in UHD quality on La1, the first broadcaster in the world to do so on a regular basis on DTT. In March 2025, the entry into force of the new National Technical Plan for Digital Terrestrial Television has meant, for its part, another step forward in the promotion of Ultra High Definition in free-to-air television. A renewed legal and technical framework that will allow the introduction of DVB-T2 transmission technology in DTT services in any territorial area (national, regional and local), thus generalising UHD quality broadcasts.
With content as the cornerstone of this development, the 4K HDR Summit will cover the entire Audiovisual chain with a special focus on OTT platforms, Artificial Intelligence, immersive audio, cloud, virtual production, security, sustainability and interoperability, among other issues.
The last edition of the 4K HDR Summit, “Where technology and content have time to talk”, organised by Medina Media Events, was supported by the Agencia Digital de Andalucía (ADA), Dolby, MOME, Vicomtech, Canal Sur Radio y Televisión, EVS, Synamedia, Fraunhofer IIS, Axion, Mediakind, Ateme, AJA, Hispasat, Quantum, Cellnex, Eutelsat, Rohde & Schwarz, Canon, Sapec, AEQ, Gertel, Hurí and UHD Spain, among others.
