Female talent will once again have a prominent place at the eleventh edition of the 4K HDR Summit in Seville. The ‘Women in Tech & Contents’ slot will bring together a group of renowned international professionals from the audiovisual and technology sector, who will share their experiences and reflections in a series of inspiring interviews. The aim is to raise the profile of female leadership, promote more inclusive and diverse working environments, and motivate new generations of women to join an industry still marked by the gender gap.
In this context, the 4K HDR Summit 2025 will serve as a showcase to give voice and presence to female talent in the audiovisual and technology industry. Cisco, recognised for its commitment to diversity, inclusion and innovation, will be represented by María Martín Jódar, Account Manager for Telecom & Media, and María Isabel Arias, Sales Leader – Service Providers & Media at Iberia Cybersecurity.

The event will be held from 11 to 14 November at the Cartuja Auditorium –managed by Yventu– at Sevilla TechPark, with two in-person days (Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12) and two virtual days (Thursday 13 and Friday 14), consolidating Seville as the international capital of Ultra High Definition and a meeting point where technology and content have time to talk.
Leading professionals defend female talent in the audiovisual sector
During the conference, participants will share their professional experiences, personal challenges and visions for the future of technology, offering an inspiring message to girls and young women who aspire to develop their careers in STEM and creative fields.
Among the speakers is Úrsula Romero, CEO of International Sports Broadcasting (ISB), who will recount her experience at the helm of the production of the 2025 World Cup in China, one of the largest international sporting projects. This executive, a world leader in sports audiovisual production, will highlight how “technological innovation and the presence of women in technical teams are transforming the way sport is covered”.

From the United States, Irantzu Díez-Gamboa, Regional CEO North America at Grup Mediapro and a Spanish executive with extensive experience in audiovisual production and founder of Mujeres Ejecutivas Hispanas (Hispanic Executive Women), will talk about the “importance of diversity, integrity and empathy in technology management”. Her presentation will focus on how technology serves as a bridge to connect people and tell stories, and she will encourage young women to be “curious, courageous and authentic”.

For her part, Dagmar Driesnak, Senior Solutions Engineer at Appear and EMEA, Central & South America Region Governor at SMPTE, will address the “need to promote collaboration and equal opportunities in the audiovisual industry.” She will emphasise the importance of “interoperability and open standards as the basis for innovation”, as well as empathy and teamwork as drivers of technological change.

The conference will also feature Pilar Crespo, President of the Andalusian Association of Women in the Audiovisual Media (AAMMA), who will discuss the association’s work in “promoting gender equality and the presence of women in technical areas of the Andalusian audiovisual industry.” The Magnetika Films producer will defend “training, perseverance and passion as the pillars for building solid careers in the sector”.

Laura González, Director of Market Intelligence & Monetisation at Whale TV, will offer her vision on the future of streaming and new opportunities for digital content. Drawing on her international experience, she will highlight “the importance of curiosity and perseverance as drivers of personal and professional growth” and the need for “more women to participate in the transformation of global entertainment”.

The meeting will be closed by Mari Carmen Fernández Tallón, telecommunications engineer and leading figure in the technology sector, recently honoured by the Government of Catalonia. The advisor will emphasise early education in technology, diversity in senior management and continuous training in technical disciplines. She will also analyse the trends that will shape the future, such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing and virtualisation, and remind us that “technology will be the engine of change, and we need more women leading that advance“.
